Responsible & ethical use

wawie is a creative audio-AI studio. These principles set out what the platform is for, what is not allowed on it, and everyone's responsibilities. They complement our Terms of Use.

1. A creative tool, for legitimate use

wawie brings together voice-over, dubbing, music, sound-effects and audiobook tools, built to create original content. It is made for creators, businesses and teams producing their own work.

The platform is for creating: giving a voice to your scripts, dubbing your videos, producing podcasts, audiobooks and original music, or working with your own voice. These uses, and only these, are what wawie encourages.

2. You are responsible for what you create

You are solely responsible for the content you generate, upload, publish or distribute with wawie, and for how you use it.

By using the platform, you warrant that you hold every right, permission and consent needed for the text, voices, recordings and images you provide or generate.

3. Voice, image and likeness: consent first

A person's voice, face and likeness belong to them. Creating content that reproduces or imitates a real person requires their explicit, prior and documented consent, whether they are a public figure or a private individual.

Voice cloning is meant for your own voice, or a voice for which you hold written permission. Before creating content based on a real person, obtain the necessary rights and permissions.

4. What is prohibited

It is strictly prohibited to use wawie to:

5. Get the rights before you create

Before generating content from a third party's voice, image or work, make sure you hold the necessary permissions and keep a record of them.

When in doubt, assume permission is required. Responsible use protects the people involved, your project and the whole wawie community.

6. Enforcement

wawie reserves the right to suspend or close, without notice or refund, any account used in violation of these principles or of our Terms of Use.

These principles complement the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, and apply to every tool on the platform.

7. Report abuse

If you believe content made with wawie breaks these rules or infringes your rights, contact us: every report is reviewed.
