Edit videos online with AI voice and music built in

wawie includes a full online video editor that runs in your browser, with nothing to install. Arrange clips on a multitrack timeline, add automatic subtitles, animations, effects and colour grading, generate AI voices, music and sound effects without leaving the edit, then export an MP4. You can start free with 5,000 credits and no card.

Common questions

Is the wawie video editor free?

You can start free. Create an account without a card and you receive 5,000 one-time credits to try the editor, text to speech and a limited amount of music generation. Credits are spent on actual usage, for example per second of audio produced or per character read. Voice cloning, song generation and commercial use start with Wawie Start at EUR 4.99 a month, which includes 180,000 monthly credits and the whole studio, not only the editor.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. The editor runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install, and your media stays in your wawie account. Uploads continue in the background while you edit, and files from your drive are cached so a project reopens quickly. Three interface levels, simple, standard and expert, show only the tools you need, and a command palette (Ctrl+K) finds any action from the keyboard.

How do automatic subtitles work in the editor?

The editor extracts the audio of your edit, transcribes it with AI and cuts the text into subtitle lines synchronised to the word. You then choose from a gallery of animated styles, add per-word effects such as karaoke or bounce, and change the font, size or position of every line at once. Your settings can be saved as personal styles, and before export a check flags lines that read too fast and can stretch them into the following silence in one click.

Can I create an AI voiceover, music and sound effects while editing?

Yes. Everything the wawie dashboard generates can also be created without leaving the edit: an AI voice from a library of 1000+ voices in some thirty languages, music from a text description, and sound effects. Generated files land in your media library, already sorted and ready for the timeline. Music can even be generated as separate stems, such as drums, bass and melody, and automatic ducking lowers it under speech so the voice stays clear.

Can the editor improve or upscale low-quality footage?

Yes, in two ways. Smart enhancement, in the inspector, measures a frame of each selected clip, names its faults, such as milky blacks, a colour cast, noise or softness, and writes a correction into the sliders that you can change or undo. File enhancement processes the file itself on wawie’s servers: noise and grain, sharpness, stabilisation, frame rates up to 120 fps and upscaling up to 8K. The result arrives as a new file, and your original is never changed.

How do I export a finished video?

Open export from the top bar and choose between two paths: a render on wawie’s servers, which shows live progress and saves the MP4 to your drive, or an export in your browser, which replays and captures the edit and converts it to MP4 automatically when needed. Before either, a quality check flags black gaps, subtitles that read too fast, a mix that is too loud or an unknown font, and it lets you fix the fast subtitles in one click.
