This document explains what data is collected when you use wawie, why, how long it is kept, and how to exercise your rights.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Wambo Wilfried (wawie, wawie.io), a sole trader established in the Republic of Cameroon.
For any question about your data: contact@wawie.io, or the site’s contact form.

4. Processors and transfers
Your data is shared with providers only to the extent necessary for the service:
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates, our payment processor, which process payment and billing data under their own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy);
- the model providers that produce the requested voice or music, which receive the submitted text or audio;
- Backblaze B2, for file storage;
- Brevo, for sending emails;
- Hetzner and Cloudflare, for hosting and delivering the platform.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, including, for EU residents, standard contractual clauses.
5. Retention

6. Your rights

You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by writing to contact@wawie.io. We respond within one month.
If you live in the European Union, you may lodge a complaint with your country’s data-protection authority (for example the CNIL in France: www.cnil.fr).
7. Cookies and local storage
The site uses no advertising cookies or third-party profiling trackers.
It keeps in your browser the items needed to work: your session, language, theme, favourite voices and a copy of the voice library for instant display. These stay on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing the site’s data.
Checkout is opened via Stripe, which may set its own cookies necessary for the transaction to run securely.
8. Security
Passwords are stored encrypted and are never readable. Exchanges with the platform are encrypted in transit. Access to data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
No system is infallible: in the event of a breach likely to create a high risk to your rights, you will be informed in accordance with the applicable regulation.
9. Changes
This policy may change. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page, and any substantial change will be signalled by email or in the app.
