Legal notice & terms

Information about the publisher of wawie and its hosting, and the general terms of use and sale of the platform (subscriptions, credits, payment and refunds).

1. Publisher

wawie (available at wawie.io) is published by Wambo Wilfried, sole trader (individual).

2. Hosting

The application and its interface are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). The domain and routing are provided through Cloudflare, Inc.

Audio files and images uploaded by users are stored with Backblaze B2 and served from the site’s domain.

Transactional emails are sent via Brevo.

3. Nature of the service

wawie is an AI audio creation studio: text to speech, voice cloning, a voice changer, voice isolation, video dubbing, subtitles, music and song generation, sound effects and a multitrack editor. It relies on engines provided by third parties, including ElevenLabs, MiniMax, Microsoft Edge, Kokoro, Vbee and Fish Audio.

Access is through a user account and consumes credits, granted or included in a subscription. The applicable prices are those shown on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.

4. User account

Creating an account requires a valid email address (or sign-in via Google or Apple). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity carried out from your account.

The service is intended for people aged at least 16, or the applicable age of digital consent in your country. An account may be suspended or closed for breach of these terms.

5. Subscriptions and credits

wawie offers a free tier and paid plans (Start, Pro, Business), billed monthly or yearly. Each paid cycle grants your account the number of credits stated for the chosen plan.

Credits are used to generate content (voice, music, dubbing, and so on). Unless stated otherwise on the Pricing page, a cycle’s credits are intended to be used during that cycle.

The plan, price and credits that apply are those shown on the Pricing page at the time of subscription.

6. Prices, payment and billing (Stripe)

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates). wawie is the seller of the subscription to the customer: we issue the invoice and collect and remit the applicable VAT and taxes based on your country.

On your bank statement, the charge appears under a descriptor such as “WAWIE AI” (set on our Stripe account).

Prices are shown on the Pricing page, plus tax where applicable depending on your country. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, until cancelled.

You can stop renewal at any time from Settings → Subscription; your access remains active until the end of the period already paid for.

Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page and are never received or stored by wawie.

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you generally have a 14-day withdrawal period from the time of subscription. By requesting immediate performance of the service and consuming credits during that period, you agree that supply begins at once and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply to credits already consumed.

Full details are in our Refund Policy, available from the footer (/refund). Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method.

8. Intellectual property

The site's structure, interface, text and graphic elements are protected and remain the property of the publisher or its partners.

Content you generate from your own text belongs to you, within the limits set by the terms of the model providers used. You remain responsible for the rights attached to the text, voices, recordings and images you provide.

You represent and warrant that you hold every right, licence, permission and consent needed for the content you provide or generate.

Cloning a voice requires the explicit, documented consent of the person concerned. Cloning a third party's voice without their agreement is prohibited and may engage your civil and criminal liability.

9. Prohibited uses

You may not use the platform to:

You warrant that you hold all rights and permissions needed for the content you generate or use. Any account used for these purposes may be suspended or closed without notice or refund. See also our Responsible & Ethical Use page.

10. Liability

The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. The service relies on third-party providers whose unavailability may affect some or all of the tools.

You are solely responsible for the content you generate and for how you use it. You will indemnify the publisher against any third-party claim arising from a use that breaches these terms.

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held responsible for the use made of content generated by users, nor for the consequences of any use that breaches these terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your settings. The publisher may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or fraudulent use, without this giving rise to a refund of credits already consumed.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cameroon. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first, in particular via contact@wawie.io.

These provisions apply without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of habitual residence.

Consumers in the European Union may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
